Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs pork ribs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the pork ribs in the slow cooker in a single layer.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ketchup, rice vinegar, grated ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Pour the sauce evenly over the ribs.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until ribs are tender.
  5. If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove ribs and stir in the cornstarch slurry into the slow cooker, then cook on high for an additional 15 minutes.
  6. Return ribs to the sauce to coat, garnish with chopped green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice or roasted vegetables for a complete meal. For extra flavor, broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes after slow cooking to char the edges.
