Sautéed Garlic Butter Green Bean

Sautéed Garlic Butter Green Beans are a quick and flavorful side dish, combining fresh green beans with rich garlic butter for a deliciously savory bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and blanch the green beans for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and immediately transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking. Drain again thoroughly.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the blanched green beans to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the garlic butter.
  5. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the green beans are heated through and slightly crisped.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. If desired, drizzle lemon juice over before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle toasted sliced almonds or grated Parmesan cheese on top just before serving.
