Pan Seared Garlic Butter Scallop

Deliciously tender scallops seared to golden perfection and infused with a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for a quick yet elegant seafood dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sea scallops, patted dry
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. When the skillet is hot, add the scallops and sear for 2-3 minutes without moving them until a golden crust forms.
  4. Flip the scallops and add butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  5. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the scallops as they cook for another 2-3 minutes until opaque and cooked through.
  6. Remove from heat, drizzle with lemon juice, and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, serve with a squeeze of fresh lemon and a side of steamed vegetables or crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter sauce.
