Garlic Butter Shrimp Mushroom Pasta

This Garlic Butter Shrimp Mushroom Pasta is a creamy, flavorful dish combining succulent shrimp, earthy mushrooms, and tender pasta in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for a quick and satisfying dinner.

  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Cook until shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and chopped parsley.
  7. Adjust seasoning if necessary and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, garnish with freshly grated Parmesan and a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
