Cheesy Garlic Bread Pull-Apart Loaf with Mozzarella

This Cheesy Garlic Bread Pull-Apart Loaf combines gooey mozzarella and rich garlic butter baked inside a soft bread loaf, perfect as a crowd-pleasing appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large round sourdough or Italian bread loaf
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the bread loaf into a grid pattern without slicing all the way through, creating about 1-inch cubes.
  3. In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Carefully pull apart each cube slightly and drizzle the garlic butter mixture evenly over the bread.
  5. Stuff shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese into the cracks of the bread cubes.
  6. Wrap the loaf loosely in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and the bread is golden and crispy on top.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Pull apart and enjoy warm.

Notes

For an extra kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes or add chopped jalapeños to the garlic butter mixture before baking.
