  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine blueberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon. Toss gently and transfer to a greased 8-inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, and salt.
  4. Add cold cubed butter and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or fingers to blend until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Sprinkle the brown sugar streusel evenly over the blueberry mixture.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and blueberries are bubbling.
