Air Fryer Fish Taco Cabbage Slaw

Crispy air-fried fish tacos paired with a refreshing cabbage slaw offer a delicious and healthy twist on a classic Mexican favorite that’s quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish fillets (cod or tilapia)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the fish fillets with olive oil and season with the spice mixture on all sides.
  4. Place the fish fillets in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until fish is cooked through and flaky.
  5. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix green cabbage, red cabbage, cilantro, red onion, jalapeño, lime juice, and mayonnaise to make the slaw.
  6. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave.
  7. Once the fish is cooked, flake into bite-sized pieces.
  8. Assemble tacos by placing fish on tortillas and topping with cabbage slaw.
  9. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce to the tacos before serving.
